Attitude and Altitude are Keys to Success

“The man who will use his skill and constructive imagination to see how much he can give for a dollar, instead of how little he can give for a dollar, is bound to succeed.”  Henry Ford said that and he created the modern assembly line which allowed his company to become successful.

That quote is from “The Forbes Scrapbook on Thoughts on The Business of Life,” an invaluable resource for provocative statements that have prompted me to think in new ways about Venmark International and to broaden my view of what makes our firm distinctive.

I used to own a small house on a lake in western Massachusetts and had the opportunity to fly over it in my brother’s airplane.  Wow, it sure looked different from 600 ft.  At that altitude, I could see how it fit into the lakeshore community better than I could from the ground.  The idea of thinking about your business in broader terms than just the products or services you provide is a critical element of success.

By looking at my product publicity firm in the context of the broader conventional advertising and public relations community, I could clearly see ways to “use my skill and constructive imagination to see how much I could give for a dollar, instead of how little.”  That created the distinctive Venmark business model which is superior to the hourly fee or monthly retainer basis for providing creative services.

“Venmark product publicity is the most cost-effective marketing we have ever done at Alliance Scale,” said Ray Secour, treasurer.  He continued,  “Every month our products are featured in numerous high-quality publications and websites, right on target with our market niches and we get sales leads that actually lead directly to sales, which is more than I can say for many other types of advertising we’ve done.  Thanks also for showing me how to get better results from our website.  As always, I appreciate not only your help, but also your insight and knowledge of all aspects of the marketplace. Thanks again.”

Venmark International operates like a manufacturer, not a conventional agency.  Our efficiencies are gained through our business model and technology, a process which fosters creativity and superior results for our clients.  We are not constrained by an hourly schedule or retainer limits and can give advice freely.  Because we do several hundred projects per year, we can put maximum effort into every project, regardless of time.  Within reason, it doesn’t matter how long an individual project takes us; we look at our operations and profitability from 600 ft., not from the ground.
