IR AND BROADBAND OPTICS MEET DESIGN AND PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS

Photo by Venmark InternationalCustom IR and broadband optics that can be fabricated to specification in a variety of configurations for transmitting at wavelengths out to 20 microns are available from Meller Optics, Inc. of Providence, Rhode Island.

Meller IR and Broadband Optics can be custom fabricated from calcium fluoride, magnesium fluoride, germanium, silicon, zinc selenide, and zinc sulfide to meet precise design and packaging requirements.  Available as windows, lenses, and mirrors in plano-concave, convex, and meniscus shapes, and as prisms, they can be produced in a wide range of sizes with or without A/R coatings for transmitting at wavelengths out to 20 microns.

Suitable for detector windows, filter substrates, front surface optics, viewports, and related applications, Meller IR and Broadband Optics conform to MIL-PRF-13830 and can be supplied in prototype to production quantities.  Sizes can range from 0.25” to 4.0” O.D. or diagonal, with ±0.005” tolerance and thickness to ±0.002” with features such as steps and holes, as required.
